Our story
- -Founded in 1932 as Parkway Exterminating Co., Inc., the company later renamed itself Parkway Pest Services to better reflect its full range of services. It has been family-owned and operated for three generations, currently led by President Peter Scala (a Purdue-trained, board-certified entomologist) and Vice President Peter Mongillo, who has been part of the management team since 1966.
Founder
- -President Peter Scala earned his B.S. in Entomology at Purdue University and is a Board Certified Entomologist (Entomological Society of America) and certified Bed Bug Specialist; he graduated from the NYC Rodent Academy under Dr. Robert Corrigan. Vice President Peter Mongillo has a Bachelor's in Business from Fordham University and has been with Parkway since 1966. Past President Vincent Scala, a 1959 Purdue graduate and Board Certified Entomologist, still consults for the company and is a past president of the Long Island Pest Control Association.
