Money-blind provider ordering

Ranking Methodology

Servhom rankings are designed to help homeowners choose local providers using trust and usefulness signals. Paid subscription tier is not intended to determine organic city/service ordering.

Ranking Principles

  • Homeowner trust comes first.
  • Paid placement should not decide organic provider order.
  • Unknown information should stay unknown instead of being guessed.
  • Important claims should be tied to a source or clearly marked as self-reported.

Signals We May Use

  • License and verification signals when available from reliable records or business claims.
  • Profile completeness, including phone, website, service area, hours, and clear service categories.
  • Location fit, proximity, or service-area match for the homeowner query.
  • Review context when available from approved sources and displayed with source labels.
  • First-party engagement signals such as profile views, call clicks, website clicks, quote requests, and claim activity.

What We Avoid

  • Ranking a business higher only because it pays.
  • Blending ratings from different sources into an unsupported single score.
  • Publishing confidence, license, or price claims that the data does not support.
