We're homeowners too. We got tired of searching for a plumber or electrician and ending up on a page full of ads, with no way to tell who was actually licensed, who was fairly priced, and who would do a good job. We got tired of getting spammed by callers after one search, so we built the opposite.
After one too many bad experiences, we figured there had to be a better way to find someone good to work on your home. Not a directory that sells the top spot to whoever pays the most. Something that actually helps you decide.
So we built it. Servhom is the tool we wished we had: a straight answer about who is licensed, what they tend to charge, and what to watch out for, before you ever pick up the phone.
Search for what you need in plain English, like "licensed plumber in Brooklyn." We show you local pros with their license details, the kind of pricing to expect, and a few smart questions to ask before you hire.
You stay in control the whole way. We give you the context, and you make the call: reach out directly, get it in writing, and confirm the details yourself.
This is the part we care about most. A business cannot buy a better spot on Servhom. Not with an ad budget, not with a subscription, not for any price.
The order you see is based on merit: real license verification, useful and complete profiles, and honest signals about the work. Never on who paid us. That is the whole point of building this.
We could try to cover the whole country overnight and do a mediocre job everywhere. We would rather do it right in one place first.
So we are starting in NYC, learning what homeowners here actually need, and only making a page public once it is genuinely useful and the data behind it is verified.
